Victor Manavhela joined the NCPC-SA as Regional Manager in 2013. Before joining the NCPC-SA, he served as Deputy Director: Environmental Planning and Impact Assessment at the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The Centre (NCPC-SA) offers multi-discipline interventions to the industry ranging from Industrial Energy Efficiency, Water Efficiency, Material and waste Management. He is also spearheading NCPC-SA initiatives such as Industrial Symbiosis Program and Eco-Industrial Parks playing an important role in stakeholder engagement in Centre.
Victor hold a Masters Degree on Environmental Management from University of Free State of which the thesis was on Industrial Symbiosis Implementation in RSA. In addition he also hold Bachelor of Environmental Sciences degree. He has a vast experience in the field of sustainability including green economy. Part of international experience includes involvement in the development of Aluminium Global Standard championed by IUCN in Geneva. Victor has been an international speaker on various conferences on the subject of Resource Efficiency and Sustainable Consumption and Production including the recent PAGE conference hosted in South Africa (Cape Town) in 2019 where he was a panellist on circular economy.
