I have always, ALWAYS loved animals, which is why I was determined to become a marine biologist. But my Mother told me to “get a proper job” i.e. one where there was at least an outside chance of making a little money.
So, I went into marketing, and all the cliches happened – light bulbs went on, choirs started singing…I really thought I’d found my happy place.
And then the dawn of digital happened, and LinkedIn came into my life. Pretty much by accident, really – I kind of fell into it as a side-effect of my marketing work.
Of course, I still love animals, and have probably overcompensated for the absence of an animal-related career by owning six dogs, but I REALLY love LinkedIn.
Because here’s the thing:
Getting clients on LinkedIn is a science…
No trial and error. No educated guesses. If you pull a specific trigger, you get a specific result. It’s reliable, predictable, and consistent. Which is exactly what we all want for our businesses.
My secret power is knowing what trigger to pull, and how and when to pull it in such a way that the next obvious step is a sale.
I suppose it would be remiss of me not to mention that I have a Master’s Degree (cum laude) in Marketing. I also hold international certifications in LinkedIn Social Selling, Customer Acquisition, Content Marketing, E-Mail Marketing, Paid Traffic Marketing and Direct Response Marketing.
Also that I’ve been in the game for about 21 years – and in that time I’ve been very fortunate to help a range of clients, from startups to large corporates such as Dell, Dimension Data, FNB etc., get the most ROI from their lead generation and customer acquisition activities.
