Joy is the Operations & People Executive Director at PAWA Africa, an award-winning organization
offering solutions to clients for projects relating to youth, woman and entrepreneurial specific
ecosystems. Her organization facilitates youth employability, development initiatives and
employment advocacy for corporate organizations like: Nestlè, ABB, Publicis, under the banner
called ALL4YOUTHSSA. She was part of the Nestlè Needs Youth initiative which evolved into being
the Implementation team lead for All4YOUTHSSA from inception in Sub-Saharan Africa since 2020.
She alongside her business partner and team have run various webinars on #Skills4Work, where
she’s designed a number of e-guide resources for youth on navigating the world of work,
employability and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Previously at Nestlè as a Graduate, Human Resource Business Partner turned Entrepreneur – who
now services her previous employer she’s worked in Shared Services and is passionate
youth/human capital investment. She is self-taught in digital marketing and does well in
coaching, leveraging networks as she co-leads a team focused on helping young people gain
access to dignified work and in entrepreneurship, evaluating impact programs for a future proof
Africa with equipped youth leading the charge of the next workforce. She’s also spoken at a
number of youth and enterprise events and been involved in conceptualizing the flagship Career
Hookups for youth employability efforts with partners as well as the All4Youth flagship CEOxYouth
Connect for All4YOUTHSSA.
Local universities such as CPUT, UP, UJ, and TUT have welcomed the facilitation year in and out for
student career development support opportunities. Her role as a Operations and People
Management involving leading a young team, where she puts herself in the shoes of a hiring
manager with knowledge and tactics for job seekers wanting to present themselves as
employable, navigate their careers through holistic talent management strategies but more than
that she’s got a heart for youth and helping them navigate the world of work. Her passion for
mentorship has lead her to driving the All4YOUTHSSA #All4Mentorship program that has helped
link over 450 young people to volunteer mentors. Intentional on building people focused
relationships and networks, she has exemplary stakeholder relations and networks. Recently, Joy
was named one of the Mail & Guardian 200 Young South African Winners in the business category.
