Currently serving as Head of Group Procurement at Afrimat Ltd, Hugo has built a reputation as a leader who combines technical excellence with values-driven leadership and a deep commitment to developing people and suppliers across the ecosystem.<\/p>    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vision and Goals<\/p>    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hugo\u2019s leadership vision is centred on elevating procurement from a transactional function to a strategic capability that delivers sustainable value for organisations and society. When he joined Afrimat, the company consisted of multiple independently operated subsidiaries, each managing procurement in isolation. His vision was to build a coordinated, professional procurement capability that could leverage the scale of the group while strengthening governance, supplier partnerships, and transformation outcomes.<\/p>    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Central to this vision was the belief that procurement must simultaneously deliver operational excellence, ethical governance, and meaningful supplier development. Hugo has consistently championed the idea that transformation and commercial performance are mutually reinforcing, not competing priorities.<\/p>    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Actions Taken<\/p>    <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To bring this vision to life, Hugo led the creation and implementation of a group-wide procurement strategy at Afrimat.
