Marcus [BSc, University of Buea; BCom (Hons) (Cum laude) and MCom, North West University; DCom, Unisa] is a Professor in the Department of Business Management with over 12 years' experience in Supply Chain Management. He obtained his Honours degree (Cum Laude) and Master's degree from the North West University-Mafikeng campus respectively and his Doctoral degree from UNISA. He has supervised several postgraduate research projects, presented 20 papers at local and international conferences. He has also published 26 articles between 2008-2014 in ISI, IBSS & DOE accredited Journals. Prof Ambe is a co-author of 2 books (Principles of Supply Chain Management: a balanced approach and Executive insight into supply chain best practices and applications) as well as co-authors of 5 book chapters.

Prof Ambe is a recipient of the Researcher of the Year Award for the School of Management Sciences (UNISA) in 2012, the Developing Researcher Producing the Most Output Point for the College of Economics and Management Sciences (CEMS) in 2011 (UNISA). He also received in 2011 the Executive Dean's Award for contribution to CEMS publications as well as the Principal's Price for Research Excellence in 2015. He is an examiner and moderator for 10 universities, both local and international and a member of the editorial team for the Journal of Transport & Supply Chain Management since 2009.
Marcus serves as a consultant and advisory to a number of leading organisations on supply chain management both in the public & private sectors; and a member of professional bodies such as CSCMP, IPSERA, SAPICS & SAAPAM.
