As a Professional Engineer, Principal Asset Manager and Professional Project Manager, Stewart has been responsible for the management of several infrastructure asset management projects, more specifically related to CIDMS, GIAMA & GRAP17 standards & guidelines.
Stewart has developed strategic plans for Municipal entities, allowing successful adoption of asset management principles, and the development of maintenance and rehabilitation plans and overall lifecycle planning.
Stewart was the technical director of the team updating the CIDMS – Cities Infrastructure and Delivery Management System toolkit with National Treasury and World Bank over the past 2 years. Stewart has recently, after 24 years in consulting engineering, accepted a position with SANRAL, at their head offices in Pretoria.
