During his first term from 2009-2014, he oversaw the development and implementation of annual three year rolling Industrial Policy Action Plans as well as steering South Africa's participation in important trade relations, including the Tripartite SADC-COMESA-EAC Free Trade Area, BRICS, Economic Partnership Agreement with EU, the US Africa Growth and Opportunity Act, and World trade Organisation Bali package. Between 2005 and 2008 he was Deputy Minister in the same Department.

Ms Zulu is the Minister of Small Business Development. She was the special advisor to the President on International Relations. She previously served as the head of communication for the PAN African women's organisation in Angola in 1988. In 1989 she moved to Lusaka, Zambia where she held the position of head of communication in the ANC department of Religious Affairs. After which in 1990 she moved to Uganda where she was the head of communication and administrator in the ANC office. In 1991 she returned to South Africa and became the head of communication in the ANC Women's League. She was later elected to the ANC Department of Information and publicity as the spokesperson for the first democratic elections. In 1994 she became a member of the Gauteng Legislature and in 1995 was appointed Deputy Speaker of the Gauteng Legislature. In 1999 she was the special advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

At the establishment of the City in 2000 he was appointed as the Executive Councillor for Safety and Health, and oversaw the establishment of a Municipal Police Service for the city.

Rebecca has over 15 years’ experience in Public Sector Supply Chain Management. She is the former Chief Procurement Officer of SAMSA. Prior to that she held senior roles in PPP procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, procurement and materials management within Transnet, Metrorail, PRASA and other major entities. Rebecca is also a Member of the CIPS Gauteng Branch Committee and serves on the Academic Advisory Committees of UNISA and Tshwane University of Technology, with the purpose of ensuring alignment between industry requirements and supply chain curricula offered by Universities.

As a Member Services Manager, Sebastian Preston provides support services to both Corporate Members and Certified Suppliers. Sebastian is responsible for Corporate Members in the resources, automotive and logistics sectors as well as certified suppliers located in the Western Cape, Free State, Northern Cape, Northwest and Gauteng provinces. In addition, he provides functional support to the Capacity Building Committee. To the SASDC he brings an array of skills and experience across different sectors and industries with expertise in Project Management, BBBEE and Procurement Consulting and Business Strategy Development.
