Vernon is responsible for support to Municipalities within the Western Cape on their road to decarbonization, introduction of renewable energy mix to the existing generating sources.
Management of grant funding to enable Municipalities with mini-integrated resource planning, master and energy planning and preparatory works to partner with IPPs.
Vernon has completed his engineering studies at the University of Cape Town.
Vernon is a professional Electrical Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the power engineering industry.
He has been active on the delivery of projects and has also focused himself on the planning & support, project preparation, project management.
He has been in the utility, manufacturing and governmental spaces over the span of his career.
He is passionate to add value to Energy Resilience within the Western Cape and beyond.
