Mr Thanduxolo Ndyenge is the Provincial Manager at the Construction Industry Development Board (cidb) for the Western Province. In this role, he provides leadership and ensures the implementation of cidb mandate and strategic objectives effectively. Mr Ndyenge is instrumental in maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders and overseeing the communication and adherence to procurement and development standards among contractors and clients while monitoring the impact on the provincial construction sector’s performance.
Before joining the cidb, Mr Ndyenge managed a project portfolio at the Jobs Fund, a programme under the National Treasury. He oversaw Enterprise Development initiatives with various funding models, including on-lending and equity investments for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), managing a project portfolio worth over R900 million at inception.
Mr Ndyenge’s extensive experience in the Skills Development sector includes his tenure as a Project Manager at the National Skills Fund. His career began at Eskom, where he held positions in power plant operations and project management units before transitioning to the public service.
Known for his proactive approach, Mr Ndyenge has a relentless drive to make a broad impact. He has substantial experience in project management, with a thorough understanding of the entire project lifecycle from business case appraisal to closure. His practical experience spans infrastructure management, skills development, and employment facilitation projects.
