Simon Kaye is a chartered accountant who graduated in 1998 from Rhodes university. He spent 12 years in the auditing profession in Johannesburg six of which were as a partner. In 2011 he moved back to the Eastern Cape and assumed his professional career in 2012 as the Director of Financial Information Systems in the Eastern Cape Provincial Treasury. In 2013 he has appointed as the Chief Financial Officer in the Eastern Cape Department of Health, a position he held for 6 years before transferring in 2019 to the Western Cape Department of Health & Wellness as the Deputy Director General of Corporate Support Services.
