Dr Kariem is a medical doctor and public medicine specialist and has been involved in the healthcare sector in South Africa for over 30 years. He is currently serving as the Deputy Director General: Chief of Operations of the Department of Health & Wellness, Western Cape, South Africa.
He holds the following qualifications: MBChB, MPhil (public health), FCPHM, EMBA.
