Colin January is an experienced Local Economic Development professional with more than 30 years of expertise in community development, rural enterprise development, project management, and municipal economic planning. He has held leadership roles across research, land reform, rural development, and local government sectors, with extensive experience in strategy development, stakeholder engagement, entrepreneurship support, and programme implementation. Currently serving as Senior Local Economic Development Officer at Breede Valley Municipality, Colin has successfully led numerous economic development initiatives and partnerships. He holds a BA Honours degree in Development Studies and has completed various specialised training programmes in economic development and project management.
