Johannes Neethling is a Professional Engineer and the Chief Engineer for Road Systems within the Western Cape Government’s Transport Infrastructure branch. He has over 14 years of experience in road infrastructure and digital transformation. Over the last four years, he led the strategic initiatives to modernise provincial road systems. Passionate about using technology to improve public sector outcomes, he spearheaded the development of the Roads4U mobile app and platform, which enables data-driven decision-making and centralized infrastructure asset monitoring. Johannes holds a Bachelor and a Master of Engineering degree from Stellenbosch University, with a focus on civil engineering and infrastructure data management systems.
