Mr. Vusi Matsebula is a distinguished public procurement expert and strategic leader, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ESPPRA). With extensive experience in governance, innovation, and sustainable development, he has been instrumental in transforming procurement into a strategic enabler for resilience and growth in Eswatini and across the region. As a former Chairperson of the African Public Procurement Network (APPN), and a current Executive Committee member, Vusi has been in the involved in the development of policies and monitoring and evaluation frameworks that promote transparency, compliance, and technological innovation. His academic background includes a Master’s in Business Leadership from University of South Africa, a Master’s in Environmental Resources Management from the University of Eswatini, a Post Graduate qualification in Project Management, and certifications in Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) as well as an Advanced Governance from the Georgia State University – USA. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles, notably as a CEO in local government, where he fostered stakeholder collaboration and led transformative initiatives aligned with sustainable development goals. His consultancy work in environmental management, climate change and strategy development highlights his ability to integrate regulatory frameworks with innovative solutions for economic resilience.
