Supplier MatchUp once again proved to be one of the most valuable features of the 15th Annual Absa ESD Expo,
providing SMMEs with direct access to procurement, buying and ESD representatives from both the public and private sectors. Over the two-day event, 31 buying organisations representing 11 industries participated in dedicated engagement sessions with attending suppliers.
The initiative created meaningful opportunities for SMMEs to connect face-to-face with potential buyers, gain a clearer understanding of supplier requirements and vendor registration processes, and receive guidance on how to position their businesses for future opportunities. For participating organisations, Supplier MatchUp provided an efficient platform to identify potential suppliers, engage with new businesses and share procurement insights directly with the market.
Feedback from delegates highlighted Supplier MatchUp as one of the most valued elements of the Expo, with many participants citing the opportunity to engage directly with decision-makers as a key benefit. The sessions helped bridge the gap between buyers and suppliers, fostering valuable connections, supporting supplier readiness and creating pathways for future business opportunities.
