Lee is the Head of Sustainability at Alexforbes. She leads and oversees the development and implementation of the Alexforbes Group Holdings Sustainability Strategy. Lee also leads the Alexforbes Impact Advisory practice and the Alexforbes Impact Academy, servicing clients in a number of African and global jurisdictions. She is an experienced sustainability specialist with over 23 years of commercial experience across an array of industry sectors including financial services, asset management, retirements, telecoms, real estate, energy, manufacturing, mining, aviation, and petrochemicals.
Lee is an appointed member of the global IFRS Sustainability Reference Group. By appointment of South Africa’s Commissioner of the CIPC, Lee is a member of the dtic’s national Adoption Readiness Working Group on Sustainability Reporting in South Africa, and the appointed Chair of the Investor Cluster within the Working Group.
Lee holds undergraduate, honours and masters degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand (SA) and the University of Reading (UK) respectively. She holds numerous specialist qualifications including the IFRS Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) Level I, and is an IFRS FSA Level II Candidate. She holds a Certificate in Sustainable Investing and a Certificate in Climate and Investing from the CFA Institute, CFA UK Investment Management Certificate (IMC) (Level I), PRI certificates in ESG investing and ESG within alternative investments, and an Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment Certificate in Pathways to Net Zero,
