Don’t Buy a Risk: Managing Cybersecurity in Your Supply Chain
This practical workshop equips procurement professionals with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to identify, assess, and manage cybersecurity risks throughout the supplier lifecycle. Participants will learn how to embed cyber-risk considerations into supplier selection, due diligence, contracting, onboarding, ongoing monitoring, and offboarding.
Using real-world scenarios and practical exercises, the workshop explores common third-party threats, including data breaches, insecure systems, supply-chain attacks, regulatory non-compliance, and weak subcontractor controls. It also demonstrates how procurement teams can collaborate effectively with cybersecurity, legal, risk, and business stakeholders to evaluate suppliers, define appropriate contractual protections, and make risk-informed sourcing decisions.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be better prepared to prevent unacceptable cyber risks from entering the organization, strengthen supplier accountability, and support a more secure and resilient supply chain.
