Bernie has extensive senior management experience in industries related to World Class Procurement and Supply Chain Management
These include:
CEO of a subsidiary of a publicly listed corporation, leading a World Class procurement consulting unit for Ernst and Young and Chief Operating Officer for the African arm of an International e-Procurement Provider.
His current role is that of founder and CEO of Commerce Edge, a leading international provider of Supply Chain Training, Education, Networking and Learning Innovation.
In this role he has overseen the development of over 75 procurement and supply chain courses, started the leading provider of CIPS education programmes in Africa, oversaw the creation of SmartProcurementWorld networking events, SmartProcurement newsletter (readership 23000) and the SmartProcurement Review.
As a consultant he has acted as Programme Lead on numerous large scale supply chain competency development interventions at National Treasury , Standard Bank, ABSA, Nampak, Engen, BarlowWorld, Hilton Hotel Group (France) and Du Telecom (Dubai).
