Hulisani Basil Mukwevho is a strategic procurement and supply chain leader with nearly two
decades of experience leading transformation across Africa’s FMCG, manufacturing, and
engineering sectors. Currently serves as Global Procurement Lead – Contract
Manufacturing, Governance & Capability at PepsiCo Southern Africa, and sits on PepsiCo’s
Global Supplier Performance Management team. A key leader on procurement strategy,
supply chain resilience, strategic supplier partnerships and the evolving role of procurement
in driving business growth and profitability.
Previously served as Head of Global Procurement (Market Supply Officer) for PepsiCo
West, East & Central Africa and Contract Manufacturing Lead for Sub-Saharan Africa. He
has led multi-market end-to-end sourcing strategies, localization, supplier innovation, and
governance frameworks. Recognised for building strategic supplier partnerships, delivering
cost savings, operational efficiencies, and resilient supply chains
He is passionate about people development and is an advocate for Enterprise & Supplier
Development (ESD) programs that advance transformation and inclusive growth. An
ambassador for digitalisation and his leadership includes a successful Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
SAP S4 Hana implementation, embedding process excellence and compliance across the
value chain.
Basil holds a BSc (Eng) Chemical and is an MBA Candidate, both from University of the
Witwatersrand, and has completed executive leadership programs in South Africa and
Europe
