Ronald Flockhart

As the Group Head of Sourcing & Category Management Ronald led the initiative to consolidate procurement functions across the group and now works with the procurement community across First National Bank (FNB) and affiliates on collaborative sourcing opportunities, often leading the very high value ones. In addition, he is currently establishing the emerging supplier management and supplier risk management functions to support the Bank’s sustainable procurement strategy.  Before joining FNB, he assisted several blue-chip South African companies with their respective Procurement Transformation initiatives as the programme manager. Ronald’s roots are in technology, with roles ranging from business analysis, process engineering through programme management over his 28-year career so far. Ronald has an MBA and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply. (FCIPS).  Ronald is the proud father of 3 young adults, husband, and minion of 2 x miniature pinschers. He enjoys tennis and fishing in his spare time and occasionally some busking on guitar.
