Better known among his peers as “DJ,” Malawian born, Zimbabwean raised, South African educated, Africa loving; Dumi Jere is the Managing Partner at Talanta.co, a global management consultancy firm that partners with leaders in business and government to tackle their most critical challenges and capture their most significant opportunities.
Dumi has a long tenure working with governments in Africa, JSE-listed companies, and SMEs alike, building relationships with customers, partners, and vendors that transcend word of mouth. He is responsible for setting product vision and corporate strategy, business and digital transformation, change management, scaling operations, fiscal management, driving innovation, and overall leadership.
Based in Johannesburg, Dumi serves governments, multinational organizations, and private-sector institutions across Africa on all-inclusive transformations, economic development, public policy, leadership, growth strategies, and investment decisions. He has worked across 18 African countries thus far and has a broad appreciation of the diversity of African cultures.
He was selected as one of the Top 200 Leaders of Tomorrow by the St Gallen Symposium. He has previously guest lectured at Monash University South Africa and led a Doing Business in Africa module at the University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS).
