Katie is a Principal Consultant in Corporate Sustainability Advisory based in Johannesburg, South Africa, with 13 years’ experience.
Her portfolio includes both sustainability/ESG and climate change advisory. As part of her role, she manages and executes solutions related to ESG benchmarking, ESG materiality assessments, ESG reporting and strategy development projects, having previously project managed the ESG Reporting Support project performed by SLR for Astral Foods in 2022. She also has significant experience in sustainability and non-financial assurance. From a climate change perspective, she leads the delivery of climate change risk, vulnerability and resilience assessments, and is also involved in projects spanning climate strategy, climate integration (TCFD/IFRS S2), climate-related support for investors and their investees, and climate-related reporting, including CDP.
She has worked with clients in a wide range of sectors, including financial services, energy, mining and metals, ICT, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, retail and consumer goods. Her qualifications include a BSc Honours in Zoology, supported by undergraduate studies in Ecology, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Management.
Of specific interest to this assignment, Katie has project managed ESG materiality, roadmap, strategy and reporting work for African clients in agriculture, mining, waste, manufacturing, chemicals and energy.
