Petrus is leading SLR’s Sustainability Assurance practice in South Africa and has more than 25 years of experience in sustainability performance measurement and assurance.
He is a Lead Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner (LCSAP) and a licensed assurance provider with Accountability applying standards such as AA1000AS, ISAE3000 and the new ISSA5000 for assurance engagements. Petrus also leads SLR’s sustainable finance assurance practice conducting SPO (Second party Opinions) on sustainable financing instruments and their post-issuance performance assurance.
His work has taken him across the Southern African region and beyond, conducting engagements in key industries such as mining, utilities, oil and gas, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, property and financial services.
