Susan Mookho Mabena currently serves as Middle Manager: Procurement within Eskom Distribution. Since joining Eskom in 2003, Susan has built an extensive career spanning over 23 years, gaining valuable experience across several divisions, including Generation, Group Capital, Real Estate, Primary Energy, and Distribution.
Susan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, complemented by a National Diploma in Production Management. This strong academic foundation, combined with extensive practical experience, has enabled Susan to develop a comprehensive understanding of Eskom’s business value chain.
Susan’s supply chain management career commenced in 2011 at the Kusile Project within Group Capital, where Susan served as a Contract Manager. Thereafter, Susan was appointed as Logistics Manager within Primary Energy, overseeing the transportation of coal from mines to power stations. Susan subsequently joined the Procurement Department within Primary Energy before transitioning to Eskom Distribution in 2023 as Middle Manager: Procurement.
Throughout these roles, Susan has demonstrated strong capabilities in strategic planning, coordination, leadership, procurement, and materials management. Exposure to diverse operational environments has strengthened Susan’s ability to perform effectively under pressure while delivering sustainable business outcomes.
